Lecture of "Srīmad Bhāgavata Mahāpurāna"

We offer you the opportunity to participate in a 12-day program.
The focus is the reading of the sacred text « Srīmad Bhāgavata* » and will be broadcast from a very ancient temple (4th century BC) in Thiruveggapura, a small village in Kerala where the original tradition of the Vedas has been preserved.

« Srīmad Bhāgavata » embraces the essence of all Vedas. It is several thousand years old. The text is the science of bhakti, the science of pure love. It was conceived for an age when humans were turned away from the divine and was meant to bring them back into the light. The text is made up of 18,000 verses in Sanskrit. It narrates in the form of stories the various incarnations of Lord Krishna. Each of them acts to preserve or restore the rightness of life on earth, according to the laws of life.

During these 12 days it will be read in its entirety. Even for those who do not read or understand Sanskrit, something of the meaning will be transmitted. Whoever is exposed to these stories will be touched by the love that exists beyond the words. It is said that listening to this text removes negativities, purifies the mind as well as the Karma (karma = accumulation of actions in the past) of the individual or society. In response to the current global crisis, we decided to make this program available to people who are far away.

Therefore, we are offering the opportunity to participate in the program in Thiruveggapura via the internet.

There will be an opening day on Monday 15/11 The readings will start on Tuesday 16/11 and end on Saturday 27/11/2021. Every morning a guided meditation will be given. You will be able to watch it on video at any moment of the day, we will provide a link.

On a daily basis, the Sanskrit text will be read and a pooja will be held. These are ceremonies where every day a new mandala is drawn with colored powders. Each mandala represents a different incarnation of Lord Krishna. During the pooja, the priest invokes the deities and makes several offerings. This ceremony is broadcasted live and will be available online afterwards.

Within these 12 days we have planned some zoom meetings to explain the program and the text in more detail.

However, if you choose to participate in the program, a vegetarian diet is recommended for these 12 days, as is the custom in India, in order to experience this program as an inner journey.

Please join the WhatsApp group and you will receive more detailed information over time.
