Ayurveda and Panchakarma

Ayurveda is a holistic medical system that originated in India, where it is widely known.

The word Ayurveda comes from Sanskrit and means science of life (ayu = life, veda = science). The first writings about this traditional Indian medicine are found in the oldest scriptures of mankind, the Vedas. Ayurveda has been practiced in India for over 5000 years. Ayurveda aims to restore or maintain the balance between body, mind and spirit and to be in peace and harmony with oneself, which is ultimately the key to good health. This holistic medical approach touches every aspect and element of life.

The human body can cleanse itself of toxins. However, due to our modern lifestyle (unnatural food, pollution, stress, etc.), our bodies are overwhelmed with eliminating harmful substances. Their accumulation often ends in chronic diseases that can lead to disability, such as:

  • Diabetes;

  • Allergies;

  • Obesity;

  • Hypertension;

  • Cancer;

  • Migraines;

  • Heart disease;

  • Parkinson's disease;

  • Kidney and liver imbalance;

  • Diseases of the digestive system;

  • Rheumatism;

  • Osteoarthritis;

  • Depression;

  • Burnout;

  • and much more.

Thus, our body needs help to be cleansed and to regain its balance.

Ayurveda has elaborated a large number of purification techniques that enable deep-seated toxins to be eliminated from our body. This totality of detoxification and cleansing techniques is called Panchakarma (pancha = 5, karma = action).

Even people who want to maintain their health, counteract premature aging processes, as well as increase their quality of life, are best advised with an Ayurvedic cure.
